Art of shooting a short video when subjects believe you are taking a photo. Induces an awkward pseudo stillness as some pose, while others move preparing for the perfect position for a snapshot. Results in a lovely moment of capturing the human condition.

Well that pose was actually for a moment of video photography.

Something every scene/emo kid on myspace is interested in, but sucks balls at. They have tons of pictures of ugly flowers in their "photography" album on myspace. They bring their camera everywhere with them. It's really annoying because when you walk down the street with them, they take a picture of every ugly flower they see.

Veronica, put your camera away before I break it. You suck at photography and need to quit taking pictures of ugly flowers.

ps: sorry for stressing the ugly flowers so much.

pps: it's just that they really do only take pictures of ugly flowers!

gonzo photography

Gonzo photography refers to images and photographic attitude where the photographer takes an overt part in the scene by introducing his body, either by touching the subject or by being the subject himself rather than being a passive observer.
Gonzo photography has virtually no editing, frequently employing a rough style and a basic technique with low profile photo hardware.

I can see the photographer inside the scene, it is pure gonzo photography!

Mosh Photography

The delicate art of (trying) to take pictures of a band, most often the frontman, while in the mosh pit. Something that people with compact cameras have to undergo because only from close upfront can they ever get a chance at a decent shot. However there they have to deal with the moshers, constant bumping, pushing, jumping, combined with your camera moving, the singers moving, and crappy light conditions..

"man i was doing some mosh photography last night at a gig, my camera nearly flew out of my hand! "
