When a customer is looking for a certain store item and they ask an employee to check in the back inventory for it.
Guy : Yo you got a t-bone steak?
Employee: Sir, this is a baby food store.
Guy: Uhhhhh check in the back, the FAR back for dat shit.

Used in jails and prisons, to "check in" means to request a transfer into protective custody. Protective custody is an area within a prison or jail where security is tighter and officer presence is more pronounced. Protective custody is used mainly for rats, people with mental illness and sex offenders.
Johnny checked in the oher day after the guys in his block found out what his charges were.

We told him last week that if he didn't check in, he would be sorry that he came to our pod.

Drive-by check-in

Checking in into an establishment on Foursquare when you're around the area but not really there. Usually done by people who just want to unlock badges or get mayorships.
Friend: "Hey, I saw you checked into Wal-Mart last night, I was there, but didn't see you!"

You: "Yea, that was a drive-by check-in. I just wanna make sure I was still mayor."

It is a parody both of how online community figureheads lives are broadcast to the world on social media platforms and how a majority of people today get all their news from places like Twitter instead of reputable sources.

To act of advising your spouse or significant other about an event in which you wish to participate in that may be frowned upon. This person, "the chancellor" is able to veto the activity if and when they deem necessary, which is usually always.
"You wanna play cards with us tonight?"
