flee-bagger

Any member of a political party who believes that the best way to solve important issues or fight the opposition is to run away.
In Wisconsin the State Police were sent to find the flee-bagger Democrats who ran away rather than stay and do their job.

Firebagger

A person nominally of the political left viewed as excessively critical of President Barack Obama, especially if the tendency is to reflexively or obsessively criticize him and seemingly not other political figures. Etymology: Jane Hamsher's popular, left-leaning FireDogLake blog was regarded by Democratic moderates as having gone around the bend in being hypercritical, such as when Hamsher appeared on Fox News to denounce Obama's Health Care Bill, got involved with Neocon zealot Grover Norquist and even reportedly Tea Party activists. Thus, FireDogLake + Teabagger.
"Firebaggers are just pissed because Obama hasn’t invited them into the Whitehouse and/or isn’t the Great Liberal Savior they thought he was going to be (depending on the firebagger doing the bitching)."

NOTE: I tried several links to sources but links are rejected here; the term Firebagger can easily be googled.

Firebagger

A term of derision used (usually on blogs) by supporters of U.S. President Barack Obama in arguments with people who criticize Obama and other Democrats from the political left. The term is a conflation of "Teabagger" the term of derision used to describe right wing Tea Party activists and Firedoglake, a left-leaning political blogging community founded by Jane Hamsher.
Those firebaggers would rather kill the entire health care reform package than compromise on the public option. They're worse than Republicans!

flee-bagger

An un-creative nickname given to Wisconsin Democrats who chose to flee the state in order to postpone a vote on a controversial bill. The name "flee-bagger" is a failed attempt at a nickname by Tea Party supporters offended by the 'Tea Bagger' nickname attached to their group.

The nickname fails because there is a relatively well known activity called "tea bagging", but no such activity of "flee bagging". Thus, if a "tea bagger" is one who engages in tea bagging, that means a "flee bagger" must be someone who engages in "flee bagging", an activity that makes no sense and does not exist.

It's like that episode of Seinfeld where George tries to insult someone by using the term "jerk store". The insult failed because there is no such thing as a "jerk store".
Teabagger: "I can't wait to vote out those flee-baggers."

Sane person: "Huh? I understand the 'flee' part, but 'flee-bagger' makes no sense."

Fleabagger

A sad attempt by the tea party members, who used to call themselves teabaggers (a name that fell out of favor when they found out the other popular meaning of the word) not to be the butt of their own joke anymore. The term was popularized by Michelle Malkint; it usually refers to a politician who flees his home state to avoid a quorum, preventing an unwanted legislation from being passed.
A: ...so he moved to another state to stop the law from passing.
B: What a fleabagger.
A: still better than a teabagger.
B True. True.
