Unlike catfished, where people are not as attractive as their pictures show their face to be ….fatfished is where they are at least 40 pounds more than their pictures inferred.

I met her for sushi. I didn’t know she was the heavyset woman sitting at the bar; so I waited and waited until she texted me that she was there. This woman was 300 pounds more than the woman I thought I was going on a date with —-now that I look back; I should’ve asked for body pictures on match.com. Now all my friends tell jokes about the time I was fatfished and spent $400 on sushi to feed the orca.

Flatfishing

When a student is unprepared for a class, either has not done the homework assignment or did not do the work, or maybe even forget the materials needed for the class and as a result, the student tries to lay low the entire class and not get called on by the teacher.

Flat-fishers may be seen averting eye contact with the teacher, pretending to be very focused on something in their notebook, or pretending to take notes. Overall, just trying to go unnoticed until the class is over.

I didn't do the homework. I plan on flatfishing the entire class.
