gay lifestyle

a stereoytpe used by social/political conservatives to describe gay men being promiscuous, drinking, bar hopping, using drugs, cross-dressing and orgies. However, heterosexual men and women engage in these most of these behaviors as swingers, during beach week and spring break, in Las Vegas, on Miami's South Beach and at fraternity and sorority parties.
"Gay lifestyle is used by conservative homophobes to vilify gay people. When people are asked what gay lifestyle means most of them will only mention things that elicit a negative response: Drinking, drugs, promiscuity, cross-dressing, bar hopping and orgies."

They seem to neglect the fact most of these things (with the possible exception of cross dressing) are parts of straight society as well." Sketchy Mess Jeoffery

Lifestyle Hammer

Derived from the skateboarding culture, where 'hammer' means a really difficult trick, usually involving some danger. Like busting a trick on a handrail or set of stairs. Lifestyle hammers are the same principle, but involving non-skateboarding situations.

Being young, partying, and enjoying life by going out clubbing and raging. Similar to how the rapper Machine Gun Kelly(MGK) operates. It's really all about having fun while you are young before adult responsibilities are a factor like children, and mortgages.

lifestyle

The name that swingers use to describe their culture. A couple can be in the lifestyle by attending events and becoming familiar with what goes on. They do not have to participate in the swapping and group sex that occurs there. Those that do participate are said to be active.

Remy Boy Lifestyle

When a college student parties until 4:00 am every night without break, but still makes it on time to every class.
“Wow! How did he make it to his 8 am, I could have swore I saw him drunk off his ass at the party last night.” “You did, he’s just been living the Remy Boy Lifestyle.”

lifestyle anarchy

A term coined by anarchist Murray Bookchin in his essay "Social Anarchism or Lifestyle Anarchism: An Unbridgeable Chasm"
Lifestyle anarchism is the attitude of an individual that calls himself an anarchist by being heavily individualistic without giving any thought to class struggle and an end to oppression.

A lifestyle anarchist does not concern himself with anarchist goals such as the destruction of hierarchical society, but instead focuses on changes to his own behavior - these can range from a though out (but still not really anarchist) desire to remove oneself from societal norms in the name of one's will, to a mere stereotypical attempt to look like a tough bloke intent on creating disorder.

The word "lifestylist" can be occasionally seen in punk circles, as a form of insult, due to the pervasiveness of 'punks' that spend their time trying to look radical and pogoing to leftist lyrics while never really caring about politics.

HOWEVER, lifestylism has become an all too common insult among anarchists nowadays that promotes sectarianism, by each different anarchist school of thought claiming others are merely lifestylists rather than real anarchists.
A justified use of ' lifestyle anarchy ' -
Calling a group of crust punks that squat an abandoned building and fuck it up with grafitti and broken bottles when they could have just as easily made it an inclusive social center or a shelter.

An unjustified use of ' lifestyle anarchy ' -
Anarchocommunist site Libcom slandering the collective of CrimethInc. as lifestylists because they concern themselves with dropping from society rather than attacking society.
