drunk shimoda

Any character or actor in a show or movie that does something which unintentionally draw attention or causes the viewer to laugh. The drunk shimoda is often a minor character or extra.

The term comes from a Star Trek review podcast and is an award given out at the end of each episode.

A phenomenon in which someone actually becomes more intelligent and coherent when he becomes drunk, often spewing direct quotes and sources that he could never cite when sober.

John: Wow, I had no idea Sam was so smart, he was quoting whole speeches from Shakespeare last night.

Ralph: Dude, Sam was totally wasted last night, he's a complete drunk savant.

drunk-sitting

Looking after your drunk friends when you are the only sober one. Keeping an eye on them, escorting them everywhere, keeping them out of trouble and sometimes cleaning them up. This should also include making sure they get home safe with all the belongings they brought with them.

"Yeah, the dance was fun but I spent pretty much the whole night drunk-sitting Mary! She wouldn't stop telling people how drunk she was."

the hidden and ungodly strength one gets while being drunk. also associated with being incredibly stubborn while drunk.

I tried to rip the beer mug out of Pat's hand, but couldn't due to his insane drunk strength!

B: No he's got PDS, Permanent drunk syndrome. It's like he's drunk all the time.
