A medieval term used to refer to ones penis and scrotum that originated in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Popularized by the Russian cavalierly during the 14th century, the name stuck as riders complained of discomfort on horse back.

The name is derived from the Turkic word quzzaq, meaning "freeman".
