cognitive dissident

A person for whom exposure to cognitive dissonance has resulted in rational conclusions contrary to the 'official' narrative of history and/or culture. If this dissonance becomes great enough, the person will be compelled to start producing new cognitive dissonance, becoming a cognitive dissident.

A word coined by former Silicon Alley Reporter columnist Clay Shirky to describe the free time that people have on their hands to engage in collaborative activities, specially as applies to web 2.0.
Wikipedia is an example of wide-scale deployment of cognitive surplus.

Cognitive Nutsack

Someone who learned about MBTI and thinks they're a master in psychology. They think their personality(which they picked out biasedly) is the master race and has no clue what cognitive functions are. They are most likely spotted in the wild saying they have an MBTI consisting of an N because they heard intuitives have a high IQ.

The paradoxical belief that Marxism and Communism lead to the dissolution of Government.
Which happens a lot, because the only historical examples of people to totally overthrow and eliminate government were communistic or directly Marxist. How does that fact give me cognitive dissonance?
