Pertaining to those who work 40 hour weeks doing manual or industrial labor. Heard in Eric Church's song "Homeboy"

A blue collar traitor is a laborer who supports the G.O.P. Eventhough Republicans are anti-labor and unions support Democrats, some blue collar workers actually vote Republican.
Blue collar workers work hard for their money and they are the backbone of a strong American economy. They actually make stuff (manufacture products, build buildings etc.) many of these laborers belong to unions, so they can help protect each other from greedy corporations.
These blue collar people vote for Democrats because they are the party that supports the working class. The Republicans only look out for the richest 2% of the population and support the big corporations that finance their campaigns.

Congressman John Boehner (R-Ohio) is another kind of blue collar traitor. He grew up in a blue collar family and actually joined the Republican anti-labor party!

Blue Collar is an eclectic rock/punk band out of Philadelphia. They have been together for over ten years, and continue to create amazing style-crossed music. BCPA, as they are affectionately known, have done it all; Opening up for Sugarcult and Phantom Planet outdoors; Packing the local pubs with their loyal fans; or driving ten hours to Vermont to wow an audience of twelve strangers. The music of Blue Collar is deeply rooted in the punk rock genre, but seems to break the stereotypes of a typical punk band. Within the elements of their music you hear some rock, a touch of hip-hop, funk, ska, and reggae. Whatever style you call it, the music is memorable and worth listening to over and over. The members of the band are as close as brothers. Tragically, one of the brothers was killed in a car accident in November of 2004. Front-man Vinny Green had a smooth, undeniable voice that has fast become the inspiration for the bands' future. Despite the hardships, Blue Collar has never faltered in their mission to create, perform, and amaze.

Ice hockey player who undertakes the "Grinder" role on the team. Rough, rugged, scarred, and perhaps toothless, the blue collar grinder is often a player who has limited offensive skills, but is valuable to a hockey team due to their physical fore-checking skills especially along the boards; for "grinding along the boards."
Performs the work that is considered "beneath" the skill players. Including, but not limited to: trash-talking, taking hits along the boards and in front of the opponents goal, winning pucks in the corner and along the boards, and any other activities that may potentially create plays for the "play-makers" and "skilled players".
Due to their lack of offensive talent, Blue Collar Hockey Players have the ability to inspire and motivate teammates with their passionate play.

While they are no Sean Avery or Matt Cooke, George and John sure don't mind digging deep along the boards to fight for the puck to set up the play-makers. They truly are blue collar hockey players.
