A straight woman who often hangs around gay men.

It’s a play on words deriving from both meanings of “fag”: shorthand for “faggot”, and a slang term for a cigarette.

First used by rapper Azealia Banks in 2023 to diss pop singer Charli XCX, who regularly collaborates with LGBT artists.

Because of its origin, it’s also used as a nickname for Charli XCX by both fans and haters.

Charli XCX is an ashtray.
