A7x

A7x is a shortened name for avenged sevenfold who are a metal band from Huntington Beach, California. The band consists of the four remaining members who are M. Shadows(vocals), Synyster Gates(Lead guitar), Zacky Vengeance(Rhythm guitar), Johnny Christ(Bassist). Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan(Ex-drummer) died on December 28th 2009. Avenged sevenfold replaced The Rev with Dream theaters drummer Mike Portnoy who helped release and toured in support for their newest album Nightmare which was released on July 27th 2010 through Warner Bros. Records, The Revs vocals were pre recorded for the album for the songs Fiction and Save me. Mike Portnoy was then replaced by Arin Llejay(2011-present)
Nightmare was placed first in the Billboard 200 and got Golden God Award "Album of the year"

Avenged Sevenfold also appear in the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops game mode Zombies, the song titled "Not Ready To Die" appears in Map Pack 2-Call Of The Dead.
To date, Avenged Sevenfold has released five studio albums, one live album/compilation/DVD, and eighteen singles and sold more than four million album worldwide. The band has received much credit for their worldwide mainstream success and were featured as second place on Ultimate Guitar's Top Ten Bands of the Decade.

A fairly decent mainstream "Metal" band. A good band for a person who has just started listening to Metal, also known as a "gateway metal band". When said individual eventually learns to appreciate Metal...a7x will become boring.

The A7x Clan, named after the popular band Avenged Sevenfold, was originally formed in 2004 as an online clan for the game Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow for the PlayStation 2. At the time, the clan consisted of only three members: Venge, Quiet, and Damon. Soon, though, the group's reputation spread, and new players began to join the group. At its peak, the A7x clan has had as many as a dozen members at one time. Since then, members have come and gone. Still the clan plans to continue playing the series, even into the next generation of gaming.
