I mean you said you were a lawyer... They already DID lock him up for the crime that he committed. The crime he committed doesn't keep him in prison forever.

Have you considered that life outside of prison isn't actually much better than prison and, therefore, is not enough of a deterrent to keep people from stabbing a little girl in the face?
