Phrase used to describe an instance when one or more persons are engaged in a back-and-forth trial of insults, usually based on appereance (i.e. clothes, facial features).

Guy 1: Look at dem pants man! Dem things is faded!

Guy 2: Oh damn! Check out yo teeth! They throwin' up gang signs!
