The Ridge

Slang for a small poor backwater town really named Mineral Ridge, in Ohio. The term is generally used by people that are relatively wealthy and are somewhat embarrassed by where they live. "The Ridge" is a struggling town on the outskirts of Youngstown, Ohio, with a history of political and criminal links to Youngstown.

First Peasant: Yo, mo, wheres you bees from...?
Answering Peasant: From the Ridge beeyatch.
First Peasant: Oh, ahem, well, I really am sorry to hear that.

Ridgewood

A very preppy, rich town with so many snobs. There are also some nice people though. Most people after they grow up here will move out because this place is sometimes sickening. The definition of rich kids is displayed here every day.

Ridgefield

The original model for what would later become the Homestead and Grid City Acts. A scenic, dyspeptic Connecticut town engineered on the elliptic principle that the distance from any given house A to any store open after 9 B summed with the distance from A to something to do C will always equal D, where D is the distance to New York (of some mathematic curiousity, this will also always be the distance to Wiggles).

Bay Ridge

a middle class neighborhood in Brooklyn. middle class and ethnically diverse. mostly Irish, Italian, and Norwegian it has experienced an influx of Arabs on 5th and 69th and the surrounding area. the area is known as little mecca. arabs are not bad people in general but the ones there make the neighborhood look bad acting like puerto rican gangstas and roaming in groups picking on people that don't have the numbers or size to fight back. Shore Road is the richest part of the area, along the water and the Shore Promenade. A family oriented area, it has experienced crime rates rise in recent years. Land of bars and churches.

basking ridge

The wealthiest and whitest in New Jersey. Most of the men that live in Basking Ridge are doctors, buisness men or owners of a buisness and have huge houses. The women or "soccer moms" of Basking Ridge all drive their huge suberbans and can't parallel park for their lives. The most commenly driven cars are mercedes benz, lexus, bmw and suberbans. The teens are all posers and are emos, goths, wiggers, or aberzombies. Most of the girls and some of the boys wear A&F and Hollister everyday and think they surf and go to the beach everyday. MOST of the people that wear skate cloths in basking ridge don't skate. And my least favorite of all the fashion trends in basking ridge is the "popped collar" look. this is when guys pop their shirt collars and wear those flat hats and wear shoes a black guy in the bronx would be wearing. The only reason Basking Ridge has a good school district is because of our asian friends from the hills. At night most of the roads are pitch black with no street lights and its very dangerous. A lot of the teens that drive, drive 5 miles over the speed limit to think they are badass. a lot of the high schoolers smoke weed or drink. I live in this town and it needs much improvement

ridgewood

99% of the people that live in ridgewood are rich and snobby. the funny thing is that that more then half of them try to come off as "gansta" or "poor". everyone knows they sell the pot behind starbucks.
anyway, the other half are the ones who take advantage of their parents and spend money like it comes out of there butt. they all look like clones of eachother in their polos, uggs, designer bags, ect. its the nicest town and nothing ever happens in ridgewood, not even close to the real "gansta life" as many ridgewood people think that they live.
