A term used to diss rappers that some say make incomprehensible and/or meaningless music. The term is thrown around mainly by nerds that think they know everything about music.

Person 1: You're a Mumble rapper.
Rapper: What makes me a Mumble rapper.
Person 1: I only listen to intellectual music, I hate you, and I have 5000 IQ.

A rapper who does his best work on mixtapes, but when it comes to major label albums, they fall short and disappoint either fans or critics, usually stemming from influence and decisions by their labels.

Fabulous is considered to be a mixtape rapper amongst many hip hop fans due to the majority opinion being that he tries to make his albums appeal to the mainstream audience, while many agree that he truly shines on his mixtapes.
