Ninja Lunch

A Ninja-Lunch is when your co-workers start talking about where to go for lunch, and while you give some token input, like, "The pub" or "The donair place on the hill", you really have no intention of going to lunch with the boys. You've already secretly planned lunch with a redhead, and while the boys' backs are turned, you vanish like a ninja to meet your REAL lunch date.

Dave: Where should we go today?
George: The Old Admiral?
Brian: Yeah....uh....yeah...
Yoon: How about Burgers?
Joe: Alright guys, time to go!!
Mike: Wait, where'd Brian go?
Yoon: He must have gone on a ninja lunch again.

Crotch lunch

A lunch you have where your meal is sitting between your legs (in your crotch) when driving. This meal is very common to busy people who have no time to sit down and eat so they drive and eat at the same time.

Person 1: "I have to get to work but i havent eaten yet!"
Person 2: "Run by the McDonalds drive through then"
Person 1: "Damn this is the 4th crotch lunch this week!"

Negative lunch

A word used by certain busy professionals that see clients on a morning and afternoon schedule basis. When your morning session runs into the afternoon session, therfore you have absolutely no time to take a lunch break. When you try take a break, it's done during your afternoon clients scheduled appointments.

Mike was so busy in the morning ar work seeing clients, that he had no time to take a 5-10 minute lunch or even any lunch whatsoever for that matter. He tried to take a break to go to the bathroom or eat something, but only after his afternoon clients already were waiting. He was on NEGATIVE LUNCH!

Developer lunch

An extended lunch break as favored by software developers. Often runs to 3hrs and is typically followed by up to 2hrs of non-work related conversation, e.g. regarding favorite cheeses, upon finally returning to the office. Heartily ignored by management who would clamp down on any other department taking such a lax attitude to work.

Jojo has gone for a developer lunch at the KFC 5miles away so don't expect to get that critical bug fixed this afternoon.
