Often pronounced like 'Baht'. Bout derived from about, is often used as a contracted version of this. However it is often used as a synonym of without, hence the Yorkshire Anthem, 'Ilkely Moor baht'at'. This use appears to be more common in Northern England.
Used as about: 'Us and lads were out and bout the other night.'
Used as without: 'Our lass was on Ilkey Moor bout a hat.'

She hardly noticed me in high school, but now that I own my own company, she’s all over me. I guest it’s bout-tad-money, honey.
