These infomerical blogs disguised as personal blogs fool the reader into believing that the author had a personal experience with said product, Company, or Event, when in fact they are getting paid or free product or services for their blog posts, tweets and or Facebook posts. Also see "Social Media Douchebag" as this is where this trend began and it fills up our internet streams with the blog equivalent of a ShamWow commercial
