A reply phrase to Just putting it out here or Just placing it out there that signifies disinterest or displeasure in the suggestion. Usually used when the original suggestion or statement was so unhelpful or absurd as to warrant immediate dismissal..

hannis

German in origin I believe. It is a first name and also last name. In colonial days it was a very prominant family name. As the country spread out, so did the Hannis'. You can find some in almost every state now.

It just happens to be my last name. I am part of the Hannis family that moved to Oklahoma (Indian territory) in the very late 1800's.
