cockblock

This is the act of a good male friend (or sometimes a boyfriend) moving closer to a female friend of his or even dancing with her so that a sketchy, unknown man does not start to get too close. This act is often performed in crowds (ie. clubs).

Often times, if there are more than a 1:1 ratio of guys to girls, a single guy may have to cockblock for many of his female friends/companions.

This is usually appreciated by the female, who generally thanks the male in the cab ride back.

That sketchy guy was hitting on my friend so I had to act like her boyfriend, thus cockblocking that sketchy guy from grindin on my friend!

The less attractive of the two. She'll ruin your approach, flow, and groove. She will stand in the way of you making your move. Insert your best friend to run interference for a couple of plays. Get some and then break up with the girl saying that you don't want to see her anymore because of her annoying friend. Problem becomes solution.

John blocked the cockblocker so I could knock it with Cheryl. John ditched the cockblocked after eating all the candy bars that she had in her purse. I got laid and then broke up their friendship (for her own good) and now it's Saturday.

this scenario generally happens when the "cockblocker" is jealous because THEY aren't getting and if they can't have any then neither can you.

cockblockers come in many different forms. Such as the one upper, the show off, the moneybags, the never ending bullshitter and the man with the stuff.

ex "dude! why you gotta bring up old shit. i was totally about to hit that. you're such a cockblocker"

ex "i was totally about to bone my girlfriend, and then Nathan showed up and she said there was no way"

When you're trying to get it in with a lady, and it's suddenly time to go ( because your ride is here/ the place closes/ it's time for her to leave etc. ) and you end up never getting to do anything with her.

Girl: I so wanna fuck you right now!
