Get the r/atheism mug.An atheist is a person who does not believe in any sort of deity. Though this does not neccessarily precipitate smugness, it can often lead to it. Atheists however are impossible to stereotype just as any person of any other faith is impossible to stereotype due to the wide nature of this group.

Get the atheist mug.the great god worshiped by atheists. He is surprisingly neutral on all religious matter, as his doctrine is completely void.

Get the Athea mug.1) A person who does not believe in any sort of deity or "God" but accepts that others do.
2) An elitist who like to mock anyone that disagrees with them, particularly christians.
In case 2 what's disturbing is the utter contempt, disrespect, and intolerance (and in some cases, hatred) these people have for anyone that disagrees with them. They refuse to go by the principles of live-and-let-live and do-unto-others. They will counter this assertion by arguing that religious people never live-and-let-live and are always forcing religion onto people. This is of course false, and only applies to a very small minority of religious people (such as the nutjobs at the WBC) and thus is a prime example of smearing people with a vastly over-generalized statement.
Most won't admit it, but they resent the fact that most modern nations allow freedom of religion for all. Ultimately, they would like to see this right taken away someday.

Get the Athens mug.An atheist taking things to their logical conclusion. Believes in logic and follows the teachings of Richard Dawkins, while being more aggressive. Cannot stand religious proselytism and will blow off at religious zealots trying to preach to him. Tends to become overtly provocative, especially when it comes to creationism, for the sheer pleasure of shocking religious prudes.
Listen man, I am a raging atheist, you don't want to discuss creationism with me. Trust me.
John is a raging atheist, he told me god does not exist and that we are related to apes. I was so shocked by his narrow-mindedness that I left right away.

Get the Raging Atheist mug.An atheist may say, "If there is a God, we would have figured Him out by now. But we haven't, so, logically, there must not be one."
A God-fearing Christian may say, "I may not see, understand, or sometimes find You, but I trust You are there because You promised."
"Little round planet in a big universe, sometimes it looked blessed, sometimes it looks cursed. Depends on what you look at, obviously, but even more it depends on the way that you see." Bruce Cockburn
