Get the Raspy voicemug. The Silver Voice is an elite group of Mitcham footballers who unite to increase the volume during games and on the training track. This secret organisation was formed in 1888 when members of the group realised the purpose of their secret super powers. These powers have been passed on through generations and still exist today. Since their formation the Silver Voice warriors have fought a constant battle against those voice thieves that steal the voices from their team mates. The warrior's major defence against the thieves is to scream Silver Voice as loud as possible during stints of voice attack, aiming to penetrate the thieves hearts with silver voice, much like a silver bullet to a Vampire.
Members of the Silver Voice dress in Yellow and Black to hide their identitiy from the voice theives. The powers of these immortal legends were at their peak from the years of 1979-1981 and have experiened a decline ever since. However the strength is once again building and the great prophecy suggests that soon a man who is a descendent of one of the original warriors will return to fullfil his destiny and balance of power will once again be in the hands of the mighty Silver Voice Warriors.

Get the Silver Voicemug. (CINEMA || TELEVISION) technique in which an actor reads lines, but is not shown speaking the lines in the video stream. So, for example, we might see Martin Sheen lying in bed in a decrepit hotel in Saigon, and hear his voice say, "Saigon... shit! I was still in Saigon!" But he's narrating in the past tense, and the Martin Sheen onscreen is not saying anything. Or we might see Robert Duvall sitting on the beach, and Martin Sheen's disembodied voice, calmly recalling, "Well, he loved his men... Felt safe with them.."
It serves to fill in events in the story that the director doesn't want to depict on screen; it helps to describe how a character feels about events shown in the scene, or remind viewers that they are currently watching a flashback; it also has been used successfully to explain away absurd holes in the plot that would otherwise ruin the movie.
The voice over (VO) is particularly popular in US cinema and somewhat less so in British and Japanese; non-US movies that are conscious imitating Hollywood cliches will usually use it as well.
Usually, artistic movies made outside the English-speaking world tend to avoid using the VO because it's a non-traditional narrative technique, and it looks lazy. A good screenwriter doesn't need to use it. However, in commercials and TV "journalism" it is almost supernaturally powerful in persuading people of utter nonsense; it's basically a form of posthypnotic suggestion.

The propaganda effect of commercials is massively enhanced by the use of voice over narration; usually the VO script is a grammatical mess and crammed with logical errors. This actually makes it work as a tool of brainwashing, since the logic cannot be followed by the listener.

Get the voice overmug. Man-Voice is all about sounding as manly as possible and can be used in many areas of life. Take an ordinary word like "banana" or "paper clip" (well technically that's two words but stfu) or like... "poncho", and suddenly it sounds incredibly manly and assertive. Saying the word/phrase quickly and clearly is also vital in creating the perfect lulz.
It's fun to do and is very lultastic if done right. Saying "BANANA HAMMOCK." boldly and triumphantly in like... Target or something, yeah, that definitely contributes to what Man-Voice is all about: randomness and a manly way of doing so.
