The practice of managing an artists fans online. This might include keeping their followes on twitter, fans on facebook, or friends on myspace up to date on news and releases.

That band has terrible fanagement, their record came out a week ago but their last tweet is from 2 weeks ago and says the album is coming soon.

The act of logging into someone else facebook account and entering a false statuspost as that person, without the person knowing.

Having your facebook login information stolen and used for the purposes of posting inappropriate posts and status updates on facebook. This commonly occurs when facebook users leave their computer unguarded and logged in to facebook.com, or by leaving a cell phone unguarded on which the facebook mobile application is installed.

So by the time I realized I left my cell phone on Mike's desk he had already facenapped me!

People called to congratulate on my pregnancy. I was mystified until I found out they had read my status post on facebook. I had been facenapped!
