Mistheory

Mistheory - a poor hypothesis based on absent, inadequate, dodgy or completely misused evidence and subsequently touted as a truth. Scientists are horrified by mistheories.

Succussion – the mistheory that a solution is made stronger by repeated dilution and vigorous shaking.

Another mistheory is the notion that women are better are making connections than men because one small study found slightly more connective tissue between the hemispheres of women’s brains compared to men’s.
