The Alabama Crimson Tide football team is one of the oldest programs in the country, starting in 1892. It holds a record 21 SEC championships, and 12 National Championships. The NCAA also recognizes Alabama as National Champions 5 other times. More than 53 bowl appearances, 17 hall-of-famers, 91 All-Americans honored 101 times.

National Champions: 1925, 1926, 1930, 1934, 1941, 1961, 1964, 1965, 1973, 1978, 1979, 1992.
Other National Champions in NCAA record book: 1945, 1962, 1966, 1975, 1977.
Bowl Record: 30 wins, 20 losses, 3 ties.

Note: Alabama defeated Texas Tech, 13-10, in January 2006 for their 30th bowl win - an NCAA record.

Georgian Yellow Tide

When a mischevious person dumps enough piss into the carpet of a hotel room that the carpet refuses to absorb anymore. Originated in Georgia and common around the south (especially in Northern Florida).

Last Tuesday, the Hotel 8 stiffed on our promised mini-fridge, so we introduced them to a Georgian Yellow Tide just before we checked out.
