"Fuck You" Lights

When you are driving and someone decides go way under the speed limit, so rather than flash your high beams, you turn on your off-road lights/light bar to blind them.

High beams don't count, they MUST be off-road lights!

Some jackass was doing 45 in a 60 on the highway, so I turned on my "Fuck You" Lights and burned out their retinas.

Mercedes Parking Lights

The use of hazard lights / four-way-flashes in order to park absolutely anywhere. It doesn't matter if the spot is double-yellow lines, has no room to fit a car, or is a busy highway intersection. Just put the flashes on and stick the car anywhere you like. You are very important, and normal parking rules don't apply to you.

Named for the kind of car that seems to include these as a standard feature, but also readily available on BMWs and Audis.

"I really need to go into this store, but the nearest car park is over a minute's walk away. I'll just pull over in the middle of the road and use my Mercedes Parking Lights. They let me park wherever I want."

candle lighting

The stark opposite of "gas lighting". Convincing someone (without them being in the know) that they (or their ideas) are great or convincing them of something that is ultimately good for them!

Last Tuesday, Sam was candle lighting Carmen on the phone which worked as she wasn't sad after the call :D
