2 girls, incapable of functioning correctly without the other. They know what to say to cheer each other up and also the exact buttons to push to drive each other crazy. They have countless inside jokes that can have them rolling on the floor in seconds and have regularly been described as “scoozys”. You will often find them participating in a wide variety of fun activities such as golf, going on relaxing walks or talking about Spanish liquids. But if need, either girl will drop anything and everything to help the other out. They support each other in all important life decisions, but most importantly, will gladly punch the other’s face if they make the wrong choice.

The antagonist of the Crossed Boundaries’ sequel: The Waters We Lie Low, and the daughter of Michael Horley. After the disappearance of her father, Emma was forced to live with relatives. Upon finding out the person responsible for the Blood Creek fire was never found, which was the presumed location of her father’s death, she set out to find The Strained and exact her revenge.
Although it is difficult to determine Emma’s role as an antagonist since she technically isn’t bad, the second part is through The Strained’s point of view.
