Dasani Scheme

The Dasani Scheme is when public (usually outdoor) events sell Dasani waters only or advertise more than other brands of bottled water. There is actually larger amounts of sodium (salt) in Dasani’s water than other bottled water brands. Can also be referred to as a Dasani Scam.

Person 1: “Ugh, I went to the State Fair yesterday by myself and saw an entire family of eight fall for the fair’s shamefully obvious Dasani Scam.”

Person 2: “Wow, they really fell into the Dasani Scheme”

A social event disguised as a business opportunity, where women gather to sip wine, sniff essential oils, and pretend they’re building an empire—by selling overpriced candles, lipstick, plastic bowls, or garlic presses to each other in an endless loop of hostess guilt and Facebook DMs. See also: Mary Kay, Young Living, PartyLite, Tupperware, Pampered Chef, and “boss babe” energy.
