Liking anime isn't so bad, but it is if all you ever do is talk about anime, read manga, and act like you're a 6-year-old in need of a baby-sitter. These people generally hang out in groups at lunch and discuss anime and manga while talking in childish made-up voices. Some of them try to stand out by wearing clothes from Hot Topic so they can be neo-nerds. They also usually take web design/graphic design classes and become teacher's pets to the teachers who are into technology. It's a sad concept indeed.

Joe: "That girl with the acne and trench coat asked me out. She looks kind of cute when she wears eyeliner. What should I say?"

Responsible Friend: "Dude, Joe, don't do it. That chick's an anime nerd. She's a VFL."

A person who's favorite things consist of: Star Trek, Star Wars, any type of Nintendo, Playstation, or computer game, and star trek/star wars conventions.

Space nerds can quote any star wars movie on command and live in their parent's basement collecting pieces of dust balls that resemble Luke Skywalker or Lara Croft.

You can find a space nerd at the opening of any Star Wars movie, and they will most likely be wearing a Chewbacca outfit as they ruin the whole movie for everyone else by reciting every single line in the movie.

That space nerd keeps making claims that he is acually Luke Skywalker.

A particular type of nerd that misconstrews real life with RPG (Role Playing Games) like World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy and other MMORPGs. They're whole existence in real life is to "level up"! They may pose as real people but traditionally are sub-human beings that don't shower, live at home don't have interest in the opposite sex and maybe one day will meet their "online RPG" counterpart for courtship.
