When a man pulls his genitalia through the hole in his boxers to urinate, but fails to unbutton the button. The bell-shape of the penis head then causes it to get stuck, much like a lobster trap.

Mullaney trap

When everyone in class wants to die because the teacher is going on and on about things that no one cares about, a fellow finds something that the teacher is saying and uses it to go on a series of uneducational tangents until the class is over.

Example 1:

Teacher: And that is why E=MC^2...

Mullaney: If you judge a fish on it's ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid.

Teacher:Why, that is correct, also imagination is more important than knowledge. Actually, I love Albert Einstein, you know class...blah blah blah until the end of class.

*End of class bell* Teacher: Oh, shoot! We're out of time! It seems that I have been caught up in a Mullaney trap!

Example 2:

Student 1: Hey! What do we do in Chem today?

Student 2: I don't know, Dan caught Donndelinger in a Mullaney trap during our class.

Student 1: Fuck, now I don't know if I should do my homework during lunch or not.

Typical found in crowded homes with younger individuals, it is when an opened container of food is placed in the pantry or fridge in such a way that when the pantry or fridge is opened, the contents of the container spill out, making a mess.
