Facebook 'friends'

Facebook friends are actually more like Facebook contacts. People will most of the time just add people they for example just saw walking in the hallway. The main reason for this is because it's almost like you go up in facebook popularity by having a lot of friends. In fact, a facebook user could have 600 friends and only 10 of them being real friends.

Person 1: "Wow I think he's one of the most popular kids in our school."

Person 2: "Why the hell would you think that?"

Person 1: "Because he has like 900 friends on facebook!"

Person 2: "Dude, that kid gets made fun of everyday, he has no real friends. Just Facebook 'friends'."

One who prostitutes himself/herself on Facebook by using multiple methods to draw attention to themselves, such as frequent status changes, writing on several different walls, or participating in a ridiculous amount of Facebook activities in a day just to get their name in the newsfeed.

I got on Facebook today and I kept seeing Sally's name in my newsfeed...what a Facebook slut!

The girl that does the duck face in every picture. The girl that always posts the emo lyrics from whatever song she happens to be listening to in a status update. The girl that gets a new boyfriend, tells everybody how great he is, and breaks up with him 2 weeks later. The girl that posts way too many pictures of her feet. The girl that posts hot bikini pics all over her wall and then complains about all the people perving on her. The girl with the black and white and/or sepia photos of her face.

Facebook Cleanse

To erase unwanted or unneeded people on your facebook friends list. Usually a result of having 300+ friends but only talking to a fraction of them. Basically a friends cleanse but exclusive to Facebook.

I decided to have a Facebook cleanse, now my friends list is only half it's original size.
