apple jack

A traditionally American liquor distilled from fermented apple cider, traditionally using a method known as freeze distillation, in which cold temperatures are used to freeze out the water in the 5-7% alcohol cider to the point that it is 40-50% alcohol. Prior to the required pasteurization, the hard cider base could be made simply by leaving store bought cider (kept in a glass jug with a metal cap, to allow airflow) in the sun. With modern sterile cider, both sugar and yeast must be added.

Unpasteurized cider may still be bought from farmers and hippies, but champagne yeast is already available, and there are countless recipes available on the Internet that will have your average high school alcoholic brewing his own alcohol in minutes.

Apple Jack can be made year round using store bought ingredients. The extreme cold needed to freeze alcohol (-117 deg. Celsius, really fucking cold!) means you don't even need a freezer; dry ice, available from behind the counter in many grocery stores, may simply be soaked in the yeasty beer to collect water ice.

Jack Show

Refers to one being incredibly muscular or 'Jacked'. It could also refer to someone showing off their muscles, either needlessly (Walking around town shirtless on a summer day), or unintentionally (At the beach).

Example 1:

Bob: Hey Leroy, look at that dude walking down the street. Why the hell does he have his shirt off?

Leroy: I don't know. I bet he thinks he's a total Jack Show or something.

Bob: What an idiot!

Example 2:

I've been working out straight for about a year and I'm pretty sure I went from a tiny wimp to a complete Jack Show.

Jack Wills

A British clothing brand stereotypically made for the 'posh, private school kids'. Similar to Abercrombie & Fitch, except you basically have to be rich to be able to afford more than two pieces of Jack Wills clothing at one go... I myself go to a private school and Jack Wills is quite like the epitome of 'look-here-bitch-I'm-richer-than-you' around here. Luckily, I am not part of that elite group of Jack Willians.

1. Lily: "So, what're you gonna wear to town this Saturday?"

Catherine: "Isn't it obvs? My Jack Wills shirt, pink and blue Jack Wills blazer, Jack Wills jeans, Jack Wills socks, Jack Wills hat, Jack Wills bag, Jack Wills heels..."

Lily: "...Jack Wills don't do heels..."

Catherine: "...... Fuck you, peasant!"

2. Izzy: "I'm thinking of painting my bedroom this week."

Anna: "Oh cool. What colour are you going to paint it?"

Izzy: "I'm gonna do the Jac Wills stripes! They're just so cool! But I have to measure out each stripe, I think they come to about 5cm each?"
