Insta-friend

The most annoying people in existence and usually leave you guilt-ridden when you get rid of them. Usually are people who you have no interest in gaining any form of relationship with, but one friendly remark and you have a new buddy.

EXAMPLE 1

Terry: *Sitting on the bus*

Hoit: Hey Terry, nice shoes

Terry: Uh, yeah...thanks...

Hoit: OH MY GOD we are exactly alike

Terry thinks: Goddammit insta-friend...

EXAMPLE 2:

Jack: Hey Josh, do these stick-

Josh: STFU GTFO

Jame: Hey man, wtf that was harsh

Josh: I don't need another insta-friend

A type of friend which people who go to the mall often get. They are people who you see and/or hang out with when you go to the mall, but don't see eachtoher otherwise.

She was bored, so she went to the mall to hang out with some mall friends.

Girl Two: Ummm *Embarrassed* Umm No Shes My Myspace Friend and She Posted It In a Bulletin.

The word "cut friend" arose when a rapper was asked to change the word "fuck friend" for the sake of some radio airplay.

imaginary friend

A fictional companion, often created out of loneliness. Imaginary friends can often be found congregating around definitions of non-celebrities, singing the praises of the person in question.

OMG, John is so awesome. He's loved by his mobs of friends, his family, and even complete strangers he meets on the street. He's friendly, and well-mannered, with nary a hair out of place. John's amazing at sports and all the ladies are unable to resist his charms and good looks. Plus, he's such a great friend. I don't know where I'd be today if I'd never met the paragon of perfection that is John.
