Cut to Commercial Break

When you screw something up so badly in front of so many people, that you wish you were being pre-recorded on TV so you could ask the technical staff to literally "cut to commercial break." The cut to commercial break indicates that you have achieved an Xbox like screw up. If you were in a video game, the achievement "Worst thing you've done this year" would indicate below you on screen.

I had a savage, throbbing boner during my job interview yesterday. When I stood up, it kinked in my pants like a broken candy bar and I know the hiring manager saw it. I really wished I could have cut to commercial break. I could hear him telling his buddy I must be "fun sized" on the way out of the lobby.

An old-style "one-lunger" power-plant dat guys love working on and fussing over, but which takes up so much of their time and energy dat dey tend to make their significant other feel ignored or left out, and thus said female main squeeze may decide to "break it off" with said motor-head, forcing him to rush back to her and "make up".

Bert Dow was not married; his sister Lela lived with him to cook and keep house. So while she may have been irritated at da noise of --- and da time dat Bert spent servicing --- da make-and-break engine on his "Tidely Idley" boat, she was probably not gonna go so far as to bail on him because of it.

Breaking the Halo

Breaking The Halo, or Breaking A Halo is a term describing basically disrupting the peace in a conversation or action.
It's a simple reminder that what you're about to say is probably going to hurt the peace.

How the term "Breaking the Halo" could be used in a sentence, is let's say for example, your dog had sadly passed away a day ago. A conversation may go like this:

You: "hey... I don't wanna Break the Halo, but, my dog died a day ago."
Friend: "Dude, what..?"
Friend 2: "we were enjoying our peace, but got struck with this..? What the hell even happened?"
