To initiate positive change in a new romantic relationship. This could take the form of telling someone you like them, asking someone on a first date, or kissing them. Pulling the trigger can also be shortened to p.t.t.
"How'd it go with her last night? Did you pull the trigger"
"Oh, you know... a gentlemen never tells."
"You're the man!"

A character in a piece of media who enters into the story as one of the most powerful, charismatic, and almost always morally-correct characters. If they have any character flaws, it will be because they "care too much" or are "hot-headed" despite winning every fight they have. Unlike a Mary Sue, the story does not revolve around the Trigger Girl and the plot will resolve around things a Trigger Girl can't beat into submission (e.g. solving a mystery, fixing a broken family, being a side character)
