short for mistake; used by modern day teens where if some one says something incorrect in an everyday conversation the teenagers nearby that heard the mistake can hit the person who said the incorrect statement on the back of the neck after calling the word stake and correcting them of what they was wrong

person 1: the dallas cowboys won 4 superbowls
person 2: STAKE! they won five. now let me get my stake
person 3,4,5,6 etc.: STAKE!STAKE!STAKE!STAKE!
person 1: ouch!

Stalemate

When you are playing human chess *See human chess* and after a continuation of human chess moves, you both decide to stop moving and try to give the other person a chance to go though and it ends up feeling Very very akward. Also it may get you to end up playing Human chess again! And Again See Human Chess

Me: I hate playing Human chess!! when its at a stalemate it feels so damn akward!

vision statement

A string of platitudes serving as a bureaucratically acceptable substitute for a direction for effort.

The vision statement, "children with disabilities and their families have access to a coordinated system of mental health services in order to improve educational and social outcomes," suffers from a complete lack of actual measurement of whether the effort will ever accomplish any favorable outcome, or indeed any outcome at all beyond establishing (and funding) a “system” and giving some people “access” to it.

When you make up a statistic to justify your lie. Then, when you are called out on the lie you claim that it was not a factual statement.

1.If you want an abortion you go to planned parenthood, that is well over 90% of what planned parenthood does.

That was not intended to be a factual statement, but rather to illustrate that it does happen.

2. Eric : Did you know that 90% of people make up statistics.
