Pontiac Silverdome

An abandoned stadium in Pontiac, Michigan. It has hosted the Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons, some Soccer teams, and several football bowl games. After the Lions left in 2001, nothing significant really happened there. In April 2010, it reopened but nothing has happened there yet. It is a good example of the failure of Pontiac, Michigan.

Silver Medal

A term used to describe a woman that a man settled for.

The man ends up settling for just about any girl willing to be with him out of fear that he might end up dying alone. It means that the man was unable to attain the "gold medal" (the girl of his dreams) and ends up settling for any girl that is willing to be with him.

Jerk #1: Dude, why did you ask that girl out? Man she was uuug-ly!

Jerk #2: Michelle just broke up with me so I figured I'd settle for Lois. She's my Silver Medal.

Bite the silver bullet

1) To have to to 'bite the bullet' and pay a large amount of money just to hang out with wealthier people.

2) To pay an exorbitant amount of money for a seemingly superfluous or luxury item due to social pressure.

3) To spend too much money on something because of the expectations of others.

Ex. 1 — Dan and Sarah are getting married in fucking Napa where a hotel costs a billion dollars a night, guess we just have to bite the silver bullet.

Ex. 2 — Andrew wanted to go to the fanciest restaurant, order a steak and wine, and the split the bill evenly, but he's my boss so I had to bite the silver bullet.

Ex. 3 — The girl wanted to take a weekend flight to Paris for a mini-vacation, but she's so hot I just had to bite the silver bullet.
