They resemble traditional "nerd" glasses and many emo fans think it's cool to pretend that they are nerds because they think they are being nonconformist. However, since emos now make up the vast majority of people on planet earth, doing so is very conformist and insulting to real nerds who toil endlessly to keep your computers working.

One of Los Angeles' older neighborhoods. A small community in north east Los Angeles with a large latino population and industial corridor along San Fernando Road. San Fernando, on the outskirts of the neighborood runs parallel with the Union Pacific Railroad. It is a quiet area but also has some gang activity including that of the Avenues, a lagely latino gang. Its two claims to fame are the glassell park recreation center and the fact that it was plagued by landslides from rainfall during the 2004-05 winter

The tongue-in-cheek title of the latest Star Trek film released in 2009 and masterfully produced and directed by JJ Abrams.

Dude, I loved that movie, but I couldn't figure out how to refer to it after all the other Star Trek films. I finally settled on Star Trek: The Glare Generation because of its cool futuristic lighting style.
