Spanish Tickler

AKA. "Cat's Paw". This was an old torture device consisting of four claws the size of human fingers on a handle. Used in Spain and elsewhere in Europe, the torturer would run the claws over the victim's face, chest, groin, buttocks, legs, anywhere. The flesh would be shredded, with noses, ears, breasts, nipples, genitals, anything, torn off.

The Spanish Tickler raked over the victim's chest, ripping the flesh, exposing the ribs.

sopranist

A sopranist is a male singer who sings in the soprano vocal range; a countertenor who sings higher than the typical alto range.

There is a large body of music for male soprano written when it was common to use a castrato - a voice type which, for all intents and purposes, no longer exists. Sopranists are very rare, since most countertenors are altos.

Since Max can sing from a middle C to high A, he is considered a sopranist.

the fourth most spoken language on Earth (after body, Chinese, and what's-it-called). Because of its high saturation of words and numerous associations to the number 43, atomic number of technetium, it is considered to be a radioactive language, which decays by alpha-particle emission to Latin.

Our map was in Spanish a few minutes ago. Now it's all in Latin, and it glows too.
