Potential Man

A fictional character with an incredible amount of potential that is never fulfilled. Originated from the Jujutsu Kaisen character Megumi Fushiguro, who possessed a power called the "Ten Shadows" that had such potential that the character fully reached.

How virtuous/valuable an invention is with regards to whether you could/should officially file it so dat others cannot produce "copycat" devices.

Da term "patential" could also refer to how appealing/adorable a particular animal or fellow human would likely be to da average person, and thus how motivated da typical citizenry would be to administer gentle hand-lovies to said individual.

Da degree of suitability for a household companion dat a particular living creature would likely be.

Da kid who "wants a hippopotamus for Christmas" should consider da "petential" for said huge lumbering herbivore in TWO different aspects --- first, whether he would truly want dat big or heavy an animal around all da time, and second, whether said behemoth would actually wanna be "PETted" to any degree --- they're wild animals who have a tendency to spook easily and be aggressive. So perhaps a somewhat-smaller and less-unpredictable mammal would be better suited for said young four-footed-friend lover, like maybe a goat or donkey.
