Haewn

A Haewn, or alternatively Heywyn, is a special type of rarepair in which two characters are shipped together for little to no good reason.

Examples of said reasons might be:
-the two characters are both attractive to the shipper
-the dynamic the characters would hypothetically have is one that the shipper prefers
-the shipper picked up on random sexual tension between the characters in one scene that no one else picked up on.

HAEWN is an acronym that stands for "half-assed eh why not", but the creator realized that saying it out loud sounds like Heywyn ("hey why not"), and so both spellings are valid.

A: "The minute I saw those two, I just knew they'd make the perfect pair."
B: "What? Why would you think that? They've never even talked!"
A: "I know- it's a total haewn, but I couldn't help myself!"
