To have a crush on someone's avatar on the internet. (i.e) Xbox Live avatars or YoVille avatars. This is somewhat pathetic to have.

Tom: "Dude, David, I was playing YoVille on facebook lastnight. I saw the hottest avatar ever man. I asked her to be my neighbor. I think I have an Avatar Crush.

David: "Cool. I'm gonna go hang out with my REAL girlfriend."

A person who is such a dedicated fan of the new james cameron movie that they constantly babble on about its attibutes.

Film, premiered in 2009 and directed by James Cameron. Despite having a weak (and cliché) plot, the CGI ultimately brings out the best of the movie. Read summaries elsewhere. The soundtrack is awesome, and the tall blue characters unique. Avatar is currently the 2nd highest-grossing film of all time, and might later surpass Titanic, also directed by James Cameron.

Avatar hater / cynic: I hate Avatar, the plot is really overused / cliché, and the blue people are just plain weird. Not to mention ugly...
Avatar lover / optimist: You must admit, the graphics are amazing and the movie has a strong moral. Why else would so many people love it? BTW, Jake Sully is awesome...
Avatar hater / cynic: Touché.
