text-a-bout

A long and rapid fire text exchange between two or more people, usually about nothing, using mobile devices. Text-a-bouts usually are social in nature and in the past may have been grounds for other forms of conversation such as a phone call. " I was about to call Jane but we got into this big text-a-bout and didn't have to."

Not to be confused with Text-battle which is more combative in nature, a text-a-bout is usually more casual and sometimes flirtatious in nature. Seldom spoken about but you know when it occurs, typically 20-30 texts at a time would comprise a text-a-bout.

Is the act of two or more people collaborating to generate or respond to texts messages.

If a text doesn't make sense and and you know the other party has company, one could respond back "Are you and Betty co-texting me?

Email-Texting

A term to define the exchanging of e-mails between 2 close friends, when then are just sitting at the computer waiting for each other to respond. It means that you are e-mailing each other like most people would text.

Person 1: "I heard that Sally was email-texting with Sarah last night"
Person 2: "Losers"

text-composition butler

A "gentleman's gentleman" who's mainly tasked with proofreading his fumble-fingered master's hastily-composed missives, essays, and other literary creations, pointing out and/or correcting all the errors, and then either passing the resulting "perfected" paperwork back to his boss, or sending said correspondence on its way to it intended recipients.

As clever and talented as Jeeves was, it's entirely probable that he could have also served the dim-witted Bertie Wooster in the role of text-composition butler; perhaps he might instead have suavely suggested that, "You might want to consider a modern word-processor, Sir... it will underline spelling and grammar errors for you, so that you can correct them immediately as you go along."

Person 1: *hovers over a random image- hey! I see text there! Wonder what it's called...
Person 2: it's called alt text you idiot
Person 1: really? *looks for alt text for 2000000000000 other images
Person 2: *sighs- really?
