space bending

the hypothetical process of folding space paths once, twice or multi-folds so as to reduce the distance between the earth and a heavenly body. This would reduce the space distance in the extreme so that space travel to that heavenly body can be made at a much shorter time that what it would take now.

If scientists could develop a space bending mechanism, man could travel to even a distant star by folding the space path to that star,say billion times.

A fictitious device used to move heavy objects in space, even though they are not subjected to gravity and thuis have no weight. This makes the device completely useless and absolutely ridiculous.

Guy 1: Hey, wouldn't a space crane be a great idea?! You could move heavy stuff in space!
Guy 2: ... No. That makes absolutely no sense. Shut up, Ron.

Space wayfarer

Sci-fi. Humorous. Like Doctor Who. Job type. A person who uses rockets to get from solar system to solar system to communicate with planets about what they need to know. A person's entire livelihood is serving an area of solar systems.

The "Space wayfarer" Chris was traveling through space being an overlord to planetary systems, but an underling to the galactic emperor. A space wayfarer has the role of advancing planets in critical development.
