The Darkside is a scenario in which people have partaken in drugs, or alcohol. It's often used in conversation between co-workers, and peers to hint at doing such activities.

James: Hey, Man. How was your weekend?
Barry: Dave and I went over to the darkside whilst the wife was out.

Vince: How do you fancy coming over to the darkside tonight mate?
Marcell: Nah mate, gotta go to work at six tomorrow.
