A Genre of music that has been going on for many years now and is still growing. Personally my favorite genre of music.

(This actually happened to me at school)
Person one: Hey man. Ima listen to this sick Trance track from the 90s. wanna join?
Me: Awww hell yah man! this shit is the best!
Big ass crowd of people over hearing the music: What is that song? it sounds good.
Me: its a trance track from the 90s.

Crowd: Trance? AWE HELL YA MAN!

DVD Trance

DVD Trance - When the the menu screen plays over and over again in a loop and plays the same music over and over again. This can literally put you in a trance.

I couldn't find the remote after the movie finished so I was stuck there in a DVD trance.

Texting Trance

When someone is so deep in conversation via text messaging they are in a trance. Usually happens when figuring out plans with friends or texting about last night drunken escapades.

Guy 1: "I was out to lunch with my girlfriend today and she totally went into a texting trance, I had to shout her name for her to look up from her phone"
Guy 2: "who do you think she was talking to?"
Guy 1: "I don't know man, but she was giggling enough and and muttering about jello shots. She probably was retelling our crazy night last night *winks*
Guy 2: "who takes jello shots outside of college?"

Trance

A category of the Electronica genre. I find it to be particularly awesome. Great for relaxing, thinking, dancing, and just listening to. Usually your friend might not agree with this and may call it "gay" they aren't true friends, but that's another definition. This is the perfect music to listen all the time.

Me: "Dude, Trance is awesome, come listen to 009 Sound System, Dreamscape!"
"friend": "What ever, that's gay, you should listen to Kanye West."
Me: "No thanks, I'll pass"
