Lewis Hamilton McLaren First championship tittle

At age 22 in the 2007 Australian Gran Prix in Albert Park driving for McLaren-Mercedes Lewis started his F1 carreer. In his debut season he scored many podiums and wins, most notably the Japanese Gran Prix where he came out the best in treacherous conditions. He almost won that years title but due to gearbox issues at the start of the race he lost out to Kimi Raikonnen by just 1 point. The next year,2008 was a completely different story. Lewis was there to win but one slight problem was that the Ferraris were faster, but he succeded becoming the youngest F1 world champion by one point to Massa. This time he won 5 times ironically to Massa's 6 but his consistency proved vital at the last round in Interlagos,Brazil. Massa winning that race by 13 seconds to second place Fernando Alonso. Hamilton that time had been overtaken by Sebastian Vettel and would lose the championship in the tiebreaker had it not been for Timo Glock gambling staying on the dry tires with the rain intensifying with the infamous phrase by Martin Brundle "is that glock? is that glock going slowly?" Timo Glock after the race was asked if McLaren had paid him but that was not the case. Glock had lost grip on his dry tires on the wet weather and the two drivers (sebastian vettel and lewis hamilton) had caught up with him on the last corner and with Glock missing tire grip Hamilton stormed to the line to claim his first world championship tittle.

Hamilton Accies

1. Scottish rhyming slang for racist term "Pakis"

2. (Accies) A corner shop in Scotland.

3. A football (soccer) team from the west of Scotland. Full title: Hamilton Academical.

The usage of 1 & 2 is linked- due to the large numbers of Pakistani and Indian immigrants who owned shops. Usage is sparse nowadays- except in the West of Scotland, around Motherwell and Hamilton- where the obvious geographical link between the phrase and the place of usage is apparent. Definition 2 is also acceptable in Northern Ireland.
1. I'm not keen on all these Hamilton Accies coming over here and stealing our jobs.

2. I'm heading round the Accies. You wanting anything?

3. "And the final scores are Hamilton Academical; two, Motherwell; nil."

hamlet

smaller than a village - larger than a wide spot in the road, a hamlet usually has considerably less than 200 people and is usually tied to agriculture (although many housing subdivisions could loosely be described as hamlets, especially when incorpirated and containing a minimal number of people).
A hamlet can either be dispersed (particularly in the USA), or clustered (see urban).
It is often located at the crossing of two minor thouroughfares (at a crossroads). Most intentional communities, if not a village and and not tied into the fabric of a larger entity, could be described as hamlets.
The documentary film "Rabbit Hash - Center of the Universe" was about an old and remote river hamlet which contains a small art colony on the western end of the Kentucky portion of the Cincinnati Ohio metropolitan area (near another hamlet called Big Bone) that elected a dog for mayor, not once, but twice! The First dog was named Goofy.
