Amalgamation of the words "metropolitan" and "heterosexual".

A man with a penchant for fashionable urban-wear, good manners and exfoliant and moisturising products. Also, a frequent user of 'Veet' (formerly known as Immac).

The common metrosexual will often give the impression to outsiders that he may be gay or bi-inclined, yet is in fact, totally heterosexual and comfortable as such.

Commonly referred to by ladies as a "Gay-Straight Man".

Not to be confused with the less-common "Straight-Gay Man".

Guy 1: "Did you see Eddie in those flared cargo-jeans and the cool shades?"
Guy 2: "Yeah, he's become a real metrosexual these days. And the pants were soooo tight!"
Guy 1: "Uh, yeah...right."

Metrosexual-Shift

-A process in which millions of men are currently undergoing (see metrosexual). The Metrosexual-shift is actually an unproven theory that states: Within the next few generations (present - 75 years), over 80% of men will become metrosexuals.

-This is partly due to the rate that men are gravitating towards things that were traditionally female.

-Hair care products and styling tools, body & face creams, tight fitting clothes, sun glasses and other style trends that one would generally attribute to a female or homosexual male are catching on at a rapid speed with heterosexual males.

Contrary to popular belief, any man who owns a flat iron is *NOT* secure in his sexuality and is undergoing the metrosexual-shift.

A straight female/woman who enjoys manly things i.e. fantasy football, watching excessive sports, farting in public, burping in public. This word has nothing to do with being gay or straight.

For example, Robyn, unlike Leah, loves fantasy football, watching sports, and hanging out with Mike and the guys, thus she shows traits of a fetrosexual.
