MILsplaining

MILsplaining (a union of the acronym for Mother In Law - MIL and the informal variant of the verb explaining - 'splaining') is a play on the word Mansplaining where the informee is usually more informed on a topic than the informer. In this case, the MIL uses a condescending and patronising tone when providing a son- or daughter-in-law advice they are not seeking and/or information already well in their grasp. The advice generally concerns medical and parenting topics presented as indisputable 'facts' without evidence or reasonable adjustment to scientific or technological developments of the past 30-100 years. The condescending MILspaining tone also implies a criticism or judgement of the son- or daughter-in-law, or the couple.
She was describing the birth of her child when her Mother-In-Law started MILsplaining what the birth was really like, despite the Mother-In-Law not being present and mixing up the details. In the end, the Mother-In-Law informed her that she was wrong about her own labour, instead the birthing experience must have been different and bearing a remarkable likeness to her husband's birth some 35 years prior.

Madsplaining

Mental health term: Offering unsolicited advice to someone who is living with mental ill-health on how they should manage their mental health (especially when it comes from peers and mental health professionals)
Examples of madsplaining include:

“Ah, you have depression? So you should (insert generic well-being advice, eg a nice cup of tea / hot bath / going for a walk / yoga / phoning a friend).”

“Oh, I tried X and it works wonders for me. Give it a go!”

For further examples and explanations of madsplaining, see (from 2013) "Madsplaining … as it was mansplained to me. On offering advice to people with mental health problems" on the @Sectioned_ blog.

magsplaining

Stating accurate, verifiable facts. Especially when these facts are inconvenient to an idiots worldview, or contradict idiotic talking points.
example magsplaining:
I once had a roommate who tried to trick the air conditioner
They also panicked that they had broken it because the “number kept changing randomly” since it changed when they pressed the buttons, changed again moments after, and then gradually changed over time. I had to tell them that the first number is the temperature setting, the second is the current temperature, and the gradual change is the current temperature changing.

midsplaining

A pejorative term referring to when a midlevel (e.g. nurse practitioner, physician assistant, etc) comments on or explains medical knowledge to a physician in an overconfident and often oversimplified manner.
Nurse Practitioner: "I think we should always order pregnancy tests for female clients. It's the only way to practice."
Physician: "Not if they've had a bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. Remember your limitations and cut down on the midsplaining."

Maxsplaining

When you trap your life long formula one rival in order to explain every little detail about your race or quali session to them without a chance of escape.

Not to be confused with Mansplaining, while similar, Maxsplaining presents clear homoerotic undertones and heart eyes from both parties involved.
person 1: where's Charles?
person 2: oh, Max got him, he already started the Maxsplaining

person 1: damn, that's a shame, there's no saving him now...

Matsplaining

Similar to mansplaining, matsplaining is explain simple things or being patronizing to one. It only works if their name is Mat. One “T”. M-A-T
“Yeah Mat was just matsplaining to me that I should serve a volleyball underhand. I’ve played volleyball for 3 years.”
