Conversation hearts

A type of inexpensive candy found at Valentine's Day. They are in the shape of small pastel-colored hearts with short messages printed on them in red ink.

Some messages might include "love you," "kiss me," "U R fine," "be mine," etc. More modern candies also include "e-mail me," or "text me."

Sally was very happy when Joe gave her a box of conversation hearts.

dead conversation

this is when you are having a conversation via IM (facebook chat) and you it is going no where and you could care less if it goes anywhere but you continue to respond back with short worded responses.

I totally had a dead conversation with Guy today. He just would not take a hint.

Zombie Conversation

When you claim someone is "dead to you" and then you have an awkward conversation with that person.

Natalie: "Dylan, you're dead to me"

*3 months later*

Zombie Conversation:
Dylan: "Hey Natalie, how's it going?"
Natalie: "..hi, fine. '
Dylan: "How's school?"
Natalie: "Good"
Dylan: "How's Stephen?"
Natalie: Handsome"
Dylan: "Uhhh, well it was nice talking to you! See you around some time!"
Natalie: "Ok"

Guy 1:"What are you guys about to go do?"
Guy 2:"We are going to go talk politics."

conversation killer

Words or phrases that one would use to "kill" a conversation. Usually with someone you really wouldn't rather be talking to. These words or phrases usually consists of one-worded anwsers and are usually in the most simplistic form.

Josie: "So how was your day today? Mine was pretty good."

Butch: "Fine"

Butch's Friend: "Wow Butch, why the conversation killer with Josie?"

1. A place or thing that promotes conversation.

2. When you don't have another word to describe something.

See that paint color? It's very conversational.

See his Afro? It's very conversational? I could talk about it all day.

Do you like the furniture placement? 'Yes, it's very conversational.'

How does that make you feel? 'I feel...very conversational.'

Can also be used sarcastically. Look at that turtle! It's very conversational.
